There is one God, who eternally exists in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. These three are distinct, co-eternal and co-equal from each other, yet still one. This is the doctrine of God's nature, called the Trinity. While the word "Trinity" is not found in scripture, the evidence of it can be found across its pages. (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11).
Jesus Christ is God, the Son. He is the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, and was the only man ever to live a sinless life. He performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and atoning for our sins through the shedding of His blood. Three days after He was crucified, He rose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He ascended to Heaven where He sits in authority at the right hand of the Father. He will return again in power and glory. (John 1:1,14, 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5).
